A Message form Stuart Dexter - Chair of the board of Trustees.

As many of you will know GVOC has had some very tough times recently and at times has looked perilously close to closing, I am happy to inform you that this is now not the case. GVOC will continue to offer a service to the voluntary and community sector in Gateshead.

We have negotiated to lease John Haswell House to the Gateshead Carers Association, which not only means that the building remains in the use of the voluntary sector, but also that GVOC will maintain office space in the building – all our contact details remain the same.

I would like to thank Gateshead Council for all the support they have given us over recent months and if anybody in the sector has any ideas how GVOC can develop its services please contact us. Lastly, if anybody would like to become a trustee of GVOC, please let me know as we are looking to increase the number of trustees on the board.

Stuart Dexter
